Applying for more than one course?  Departments, colleges, and programs interested in applying to the Innovative Spaces Program for more than one class per term can contact us directly to make alternative application arrangements.

Keep in mind... 

  • All courses selected must meet at least 70% of room capacity. This form includes a list of available classrooms and the number of seats for each. Info about each space, including virtual tours and features, can be found on the Innovative Spaces homepage.
  • To accommodate the greatest number of courses, we may reach out to some applicants about adjusting class schedules.

Option: Apply for the Active Learning Classroom Community

The Active Learning Classroom Community (ALCC) is a learning community developed by UCAT and ODEE to deepen connections between instructors teaching in Active Learning Classrooms at the The Ohio State University.  8-10 applicants will be selected to participate in this cohort, set to begin May 2018.

ALCC members receive:

  • Priority scheduling in an Active Learning Classroom for fall 2018 (and future terms as course is offered)
  • $1,000 toward professional development

ALCC members agree to:

  • Participate in ALCC Course Design Institute to tailor their course for delivery in an Active Learning Classroom. Includes five meetings May - June 2018 (applicants who have previously completed a Course Design Institute are exempt from this requirement).
  • Attend kickoff event in July and participate in monthly cohort meetings August 2018 - April 2019 (final schedule TBD based on participant availability).

Selections will be made in mid-January, and announced in conjunction with summer and fall 2018 Innovative Spaces Program classroom schedules.
