After You Register

Next Steps

If this is your first time taking a course through Program 60, you will be assigned an Ohio State username by the Program 60 Coordinator within 72-hours of registration. After you are assigned your username you will receive an email containing an "activation code" and a link to my.osu.edu to activate your Ohio State account. You MUST have the activation code in order to activate your account.

Once your registration is complete, you MUST email the instructor to request permission to attend the course. If permission is not granted by the instructor, you will NOT be granted access to the course.

Online courses are delivered using a learning management system named Carmen. After you receive your instructor’s permission, send them your Ohio State username (lastname.#) and ask to be added to their Carmen classlist. You MUST activate your Ohio State username prior to being added to ALL Carmen classlist(s). Once your instructor has added your name to their Carmen classlist, the course name will appear on the left side of your Carmen homepage. Log into Carmen with your Ohio State Username and password to access your online or on-campus courses.

Remember – you will NOT be able to access your course(s) until the instructor adds you to their classlist in Carmen.
