Parking and Transportation

Vehicles parked on campus at any time are required to display a permit, purchase Pay-by-Plate, surface lot parking, or pay hourly fees posted at meters and in garages. Many participants purchase a West Campus permit and ride the Campus Area Bus Service to their desired locations. Program 60 participants may purchase a regular "C", Buckeye Lot ("CX") or West Campus  ("WC") permit for the semester or year:

  • Online purchase is available only for those who are enrolled in courses during the semester or term by logging in with your Ohio State name.# and password on the CampusParc website.
  • Holders of a State of Ohio Disability Placard are required to submit the BMV Certificate of Registration to CampusParc to obtain a university permit.
  • Ohio State retirees are eligible to purchase an A permit at a discounted rate. Additional information can be found on the CampusParc website under R permit

CampusParc is a private business entity that manages and operates The Ohio State University parking facilities and is located in the South Campus Gateway at 1560 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43210. Contact CampusParc at 614-688-0000.

CABS provides transportation to the main campus from both remote lots. If parking in the Buckeye Lot ("CX") you may take the Campus Loop North or Campus Loop South which both run every seven minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

If parking in the West Campus ("WC") lot you can take the North Express which runs every six minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. or the West Campus bus which runs every fifteen minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Textbooks

Books might not be required for every class. Some instructors may select textbooks after classes are in session. If you purchase books, review all return policies. Search for required textbooks at Barnes and Noble, The Ohio State University bookstore.
