College Ready Ohio to Host Film Screening of ‘Most Likely to Succeed’

Are you looking to make a difference in K-12 education? Join College Ready Ohio on April 25 at 6 p.m. for their film screening of the award-winning film Most Likely to Succeed followed by a panel discussion lead by Ohio educators.

Most Likely to Succeed offers an inspiring look at what students and teachers are capable of when they have the vision and courage to transform their schools. Directed by documentarian Greg Whiteley, the film has been an official selection of two dozen of the world’s top film festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca, and AFI DOCS. It’s been featured at leading conferences on education, including ASU/GSV, SxSWedu, Harvard/GoldmanSachs, and NewSchools Venture Fund. Audience members call it the most compelling film ever done on the topic of school. In the past year, more than 2,300 communities have booked a screening of Most Likely to Succeed.

College Ready Ohio’s event is designed to launch a meaningful discussion among Ohio educators, administrators, parents, and students about how current obstacles can be overcome and steps towards change can be taken on a local level. The 90-minute event includes a screening of a film, followed by a panel of Ohio educators.

The program hopes the conversations at this event will help drive a community-wide commitment to moving forward and that transformational initiatives are undertaken and real change is ignited.

“We want people to walk out of this event and feel inspired to make a difference in their schools and see that it is possible,” Ben Scragg, Manager of Learning Technology, said. “This film is so important in driving the conversation of transforming the Ohio education system.”
