Journalism

The journalism newsroom of the future is the world around us, and iPads are a tool every journalist could use to master many of the skills required to be an integral part of that newsroom. This project equipped and trained the next generation of reporters and editors on iPad technology with the goal of training them better and faster to be the journalists of the future. In addition, we further used the iPad to “flip” the course and provide lectures, textbooks and support materials through iTunes U. While this course and the practice of journalism are especially suited to benefit from mobile technology, the lessons learned during the course of this project can be adapted to improve the student experience in many areas of study.
