Completion of Ohio State's ABA-approved Juris Doctor (J.D.) program meets state educational requirements to apply for admission to every state's bar. However, an individual may be required to meet state-specific, non-credit educational requirements to be eligible for admission. Links to state's non-credit educational requirements are below. 

Alabama

In addition to completing Ohio State's J.D. program, an individual must complete an online course in Alabama law administered by the Alabama State Bar Admissions Office to be eligible for admission to the Alabama bar.

Alaska

In addition to completing Ohio State's J.D. program, an individual must complete a course on attorney ethics administered by the Alaska Bar Association to be eligible for admission to the Alaska bar.

Arizona

Arkansas

To satisfy New York Court of Appeals Rule 520.18, individuals completing Ohio State's J.D. program must follow the Moritz Skills and Professional Values Plan to be eligible for admission to the New York bar via Pathway One. In addition to completing the J.D. Skills and Professional Values Plan, an individual must complete an online course on New York law administered by the New York State Board of Law Examiners to be eligible for admission to the New York bar.
