Next Steps

Below you will find required next steps for participation:

Step One: Activate your Ohio State username

  • Go to my.osu.edu and click ‘Activate Now!’
  • Click ‘I need an Activation Code’ and follow the prompts to tell us where to email your activation code
    • Please note: You will need your Ohio State username. 
  • Activate your identity:  Once you receive your activation code, return to my.osu.edu and click ‘Activate Now!’ Click ‘I have an Activation Code’ and follow the prompts.

Please note: You only need to activate your Ohio State username if you have not taken courses through Program 60 in a previous term.

Step Two: Search for Courses

Information on how to look-up courses can be found on the Program 60 website under Searching for Courses. For courses with prerequisites, written instructor permission will be required. The Program 60 Enrollment Worksheet may be helpful in tracking available course options and pertinent course information.

Please note:  Program 60 participants will now be required to pay course fees associated with classes. Course fees can be found in the Class Details, under Enrollment Information and Class Attributes. 

Step Three: Financial Responsibility Statement and Enrollment

The Financial Responsible Statement (FRS) is required to be completed before enrollment in courses(s) can take place. Information on the Financial Responsibility Statement can be found through the My Buckeye Link Reference Guide under Holds. To complete your FRS, please go to buckeyelink.osu.edu, select My Buckeye Link and log in with your OSU name.# and password. 

Enrollment for spring semester 2017 will run from Monday, December 19, 2016 – Friday, January 13, 2017 for full term and first-session courses. Second-session course enrollment will remain open until Friday, March 3, 2017.

Step Four: Course and Lab Fee Payment

Enrollment in courses with course fees associated will require payment be made through the University Bursar Office. A step-by-step guide on the payment process is available through the SIS Student Center Reference Guide.  University fee payment deadlines can be found on the Registrar website.

Program 60 participants are eligible to enroll in Ohio State’s Tuition Option Payment Plan (TOPP.) Enrollment in TOPP allows for course fee payments to be made in three equal installments. To note, there is a $30.00 enrollment fee and fee’s owed must be $150.00 or greater. 

Step Five: Course Drops and Registrar Deadlines

Program 60 participants will be held to all University and Registrar Deadlines for course additions, drops and fee payment. Additional information on these deadlines for spring semester 2017 can be found on the University’s Registrars website.
