More than 1,600 middle and high school students are heading to The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, April 28, for the Ohio Science Olympiad State Tournament.
Ohio had all four of its teams place in the top 20 at the Science Olympiad National Tournament, hosted at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, on May 20, 2017.
Mentor High School and Tower Heights Middle School were crowned the winners of the 2017 Ohio Science Olympiad state tournament on Saturday, April 1. The tournament was hosted by The Ohio State University’s Office of Distance Education and eLearning.
Each year, more than 4,500 middle and high school students from the state use their free time to tinker, build, explore, research, learn, observe and collaborate. Why? In preparation for Ohio Science Olympiad , the state’s premier competition for students to demonstrate their skills in STEM.
